Posted on May 12, 2016

The Emirates Lions will have their regular front row back in action when they host the Blues at Emirates

Airline Park on Saturday 14 May at 19:15 with both Malcolm Marx and Julian Redelinghuys back in the

starting line-up.

Both have been out due to injuries and replaces Akker van der Merwe and Pieter Scholtz respectively in the

front row.

Ross Cronjé gets the nod with Faf de Klerk moving to the bench.

At centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg will partner Lionel Mapoe in midfield with Howard Mnisi moving to the

bench.

A new face among the reserves is new recruit Sylvian Mahuza who has been in action for the Xerox Golden

Lions XV in the Currie Cup Qualifying round.

In the curtain raiser Parktown Boys High takes on St Benedicts at 16:30 and both teams’ school bands will

perform ahead of their game.

There is also a special Buy 2 Tickets Get 2 Free promotion running for the game. More info at

www.lionsrugby.co.za.

Staff of Emirates Airline Park and the Golden Lions Rugby Union rallied together to clean up

the precinct around all three stadiums (EAP, Johannesburg Stadium and the Arena) on

Wednesday. This is part of a massive clean-up effort by the GLRU ahead of the Test against

Ireland on 18 June. The challenge to their supporters is to get up and help with the clean-up in

your area, don’t wait for your local government to do it. (Images available)
