Two yellow cards were the difference between the Free State and the Lions in their Currie Cup qualification match at Diggers Rugby Club in Randburg on Saturday.
The Free State won the match 29-15 and the two tries scored with Ruaan Lerm and Derick Minnie in the sin bin was the eventual difference on the score sheets. Lerm was binned after 48 minutes with the scored locked on 15-all which allowed Free State hooker Joseph Dweba to score and when Minnie was sent off four minutes later Jasper Wiese scored.
Wiese scored in the six minutes when the Lions had to play with only 13 men on the field.
