Lions without Kriel
The Lions will travel to Australia without their juggernaut flanker Jaco Kriel who injured his knee in Friday night’s war against the Jaguares.
Kriel will do rehab back home for three weeks while his team-mates play Down Under but should be fit when they host the Bulls in Johannesburg on May 20.
Kwagga Smith (picture) should grab this opportunity to get some game time and enhance his shares. Flankers Cyle Brink and Robert Kruger will also travel with the team.
Winger Michael Madosh Tambwe will also stay home to join the Junior Springbok squad and try to make the final squad for the Junior World Cup.
Sylvian Mahuza should also get his opportunity to impress the coaches.
