The Emirates Lions continue to enjoy the pleasure of playing on their home turf at Emirates Airline Park this Saturday for their rescheduled Round 6 fixture Vodacom United Rugby Championship encounter against Scottish outfit Glasgow Warriors
Saturday sees the return of back-rower Francke Horn who has recovered from an ankle injury which kept him on the sidelines. Sanele Nohamba has been brought as the starting scrumhalf, and to offer a kicking option if required.
Speaking to the media this week, Scrum Coach Julian Redelinghuys expressed his delight for having Horn back.
Emirates Lions Scrum Coach Julian Redelinghuys on the return of Francke Horn:
“It’s nice to have Francke back in the mix. He’s really trained well over the last two weeks. He was our settled number eight before he got injured. Francke coming back adds a bit more to our attack and set piece,” said the former Bok prop.
Redelinghuys further goes onto to add:
“We’ve also moved Ruan Venter to the lock position, giving Willem Alberts- who’s played really well and has put in quite a lot of minutes, a well-deserved rest.”
On Glasgow Warriors
“Glasgow Warriors have done quite well under Franco. They struggled a bit at the beginning of the season but were able to correct it very well by playing great attacking rugby.”
“They are 5th on the log so they are a really good team. Glasgow achieved a good win over Ulster last weekend so they are in a good space, so Saturday will be a good test for us.”
Kick-off is at 16:15
