On hand to assist the team from Johannesburg were humanitarian aid organization, the Gift of the Givers Foundation. The foundation is the largest disaster response non-governmental organisation of African origin on the African continent.

“Together with the Lions’ 1000 bottles of water, we will distribute a further around 37 000 litres to schools, clinics and old age homes- these are areas in need of fresh water as cholera has affected residents from consuming water from their taps,” said Cliffort Mabe- Liaison Officer on the ground for the foundation.

We would like to thank the Lions for spending time with us today, and we hope that we will collaborate on many more projects in the future.” Mabe concluded.
