LIONS RUGBY WELCOMES BSL GLOBAL TO THE PRIDE
The Lions Rugby Company has announced networking firm BSL Global as their new associate sponsor ahead of the 2023/24 season. The three-year partnership sees BSL global appear on the playing shorts as well as other inventory within the franchise’s stable.
BSL Global is no stranger to rugby having a strong affiliation with interschools rugby space which itself has played a key role in the development of the game in South Africa. This therefore reaffirms their passion for strengthening their influence within the business of rugby.
Head of BSL Global, Stiaan Botha:
“We are absolutely delighted to be associated with the Lions Rugby Company. Our passion for business and rugby goes hand-in-hand and we are looking forward to what will be a fruitful partnership with a world-class rugby brand.”
“Through our solid relationships and networks within grassroots rugby, we believe that this journey with the Lions has the potential to enhance our footprint within the professional rugby landscape,” Botha concluded.
With the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and Investec EPCR Challenge Cup competitions looming, Ellis Park Stadium Managing Director Pieter Burger is pleased with the interest shown by corporate brands towards sports, in particular rugby which has seen South African teams achieve global exposure to European audiences.
“It is indeed encouraging to see big brands moving closer towards sports sponsorship in South Africa in a financial climate which is still dealing with the effects of the recent pandemic,” expressed Burger.
“To welcome BSL Global to the Lions family is a huge boost for rugby and bodes well for the season ahead in terms of the potential both brands can accomplish through this partnership,” he concluded.
