Hear me roar

I was interviewed for a position in finance in 2009 and while the company went through tirbulant times between 2012 and 2013 I was retained by God’s Grace.

I was interviewed for a position in finance in 2009 and while the company went through tirbulant times between 2012 and 2013 I was retained by God’s Grace.

I didn’t know anything about rugby. Should anyone have told me that I will be working for such a big franchise I would have told them they were lying.

I am not an expert in rugby yet but now I understand and love to ROAR ????.

My role as a creditors’ clerk is to ensure that all records are processed and to keep our service providers happy (pay accounts on time) so that the Lions team can do what we love the most.

I have now been with the Lions family for ten years and looking forward to many more decades – Go Lions!

If I think of the Lions and my career thus far, what really stands out for me is endurance and paying attention to detail. I it’s the little things that can make or break a match day.

I hope when people think of the Lions, they see loyalty.  Our loyal fans never gave up on us, especially during our tough times. That on its own has taught me to be loyal to the Lions family and to help were I can to get us out of the darkness and back to the light.

My approach to my job is always: Beast Mode: ON – All we do is for the Glory of God.

For me the single proudest moment at the Lions has been being part of history in 2017 when we had a home Vodacom Super Rugby final against the Crusaders. What a time to be ALIVE.
